The IES Section Service Award is presented by a Section to a member in recognition of outstanding service to the Section, principally of a non-technical nature, that has significantly furthered the purpose of the Society continuously over a number of years in various programs and activities.
We Thank You All!
The Romaine S. Meyers Award was established by the Diablo Section, which was later merged into the Golden Gate Section, in honor of the founding Board member, Romaine Meyers. Romaine Meyers, an Oakland Engineer, became a “National Member” in 1913 and continued to advocate a local organization. In 1917 he was designated the “Western Representative of the Illuminating Engineering Society.” This award recognizes individuals with outstanding service to the Society or Section.
