Job Description: ARCHITECTURE & LIGHT is an award winning San Francisco lighting design firm. We have positions available in our lighting studio for creative and lively assistant and project lighting designers who possess excellent visual communication skills and are passionate about light to work on a range of challenging projects in the US and abroad. Candidates must have a minimum of a four year degree from a major university in architecture, lighting, design, theater or the arts. Candidates must be able to hand sketch, be experienced users of Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and a 3D software; SketchUp and AGI skills are a plus.
A successful project designer will have a minimum of two years’ experience and be versed in all elements required to produce lighting layouts and equipment specifications. For assistant designers, previous lighting experience is preferred but not required. Salary and a full range of benefits are commensurate with proven experience and ability. Candidates must be currently eligible to work in the US. Candidates with existing transferable H1b visas will be considered.
