Job Description: We are currently seeking an entry level Lighting Designer to join our small but impressive team. The ideal candidate will be an independent thinker but also flexible so as to work with the entire team of players on our projects. Eagerness to learn and the desire to expand and excel with hands on experience is a plus.
You will be requested to participate in:
o Assist in collaboration with design teams
o Project team meetings, note taking & distribution
o Site visits and observation reporting
o Your time management on projects
o Project in house and fixture budgets
o Specifier lunch and learn visits to promote new products
o Develop relationships with manufacturers reps and get pricing information
o Develop Construction Documents
o Preparing As Built documentation
o Survey of existing conditions if remodel
o Preparing ‘Look and Feel’ presentations @ start of project
o Preparation of detailed fixture and dimming load schedules
o Producing photometric calculations
o Build and or work with builders on Mock Ups or prototypes
o Manage and Produce CAD and or Revit documentation
o Assist in developing lighting details
o Assist in development of custom applications & custom fixture design
o Assist in writing proposals for new projects
o Enjoying lunch in the Park on beautiful days

Education and Skills Requirements: Four Year Degree in Interior / Architecture or Illumination Design is required. 0-3 years experience in the field.
