Job Description: Dot Dash is looking for creative, enthusiastic, and self-motivated lighting designers to join our new California based team. Candidates should have a degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Lighting Design with a minimum of 1 year of experience at a lighting design firm. More experienced candidates with project management experience are desirable but not required. Candidates should be willing and interested in a broad range of project types and scales and have the ability to work on many projects at the same time with aggressive schedules. Candidates should be passionate about design, have a strong fundamental understanding of architecture, and a long term interest in lighting design. Candidates will need the creativity to formulate ideas, the willingness to present ideas, and the practical ability to execute ideas. The candidate must be comfortable and willing to work with others in a collaborative, team environment.
Education and Skills Requirements: Required software knowledge: Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office
Candidates must have the ability to work on many projects simultaneously with aggressive schedules.
Candidate must be meticulously organized to facilitate fast paced project schedules.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the US upon application and be proficient in English with excellent communication skills.
Strong graphic skills are beneficial but not required.
Beneficial but not required software expertise: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign,3ds Max, AGI32, and Sketchup. Sketching and hand drawing skills are an added benefit.
