IES San Francisco will offer a study group again this year to help understand the NCQLP Lighting Certification Exam scheduled for Saturday, 3 November 2018 (in Walnut Creek), and to share students' professional lighting expertise and reference materials.

This 7-week course will meet on Wednesday evenings, 6-9 PM, at PG&E's Pacific Energy Center, 851 Howard St. in San Francisco; the first class is 19 September 2018 with the last session on 31 October.  The format of the LC Prep Course is informal, with seminar-style discussions. Course cost is $300 for each participant.

Test application deadline and qualifications for LC are listed at the NCQLP website in their Candidate Handbook

This course does NOT include test registration!  Note that application for the Exam may take a few days to acquire reference letters (and possibly a college transcript) and that early registration (by 13 August) has lower exam fees.

The key reference for this exam is the IES Handbook (10th Edition, bound or digital version) and we have one copy of this 10-pound tome available to borrow. We will have at least one copy of each reference publication available to share during our meetings, but not all are available to take home. We also have a few of copies of lighting textbooks you can borrow for a week or two if you need to refresh your lighting basics.
