SSL technology has been promoted for energy efficiency, color tuning ability, and IOT capability, but the real benefit and bottom line revenue stream value has been overlooked until now. Bandwidth specific LED light sources that accurately reveal blood saturation and concentration status through human skin represent an untapped non-pharmaceutical intervention that can save lives while stopping a worldwide killer in its tracks. For design professionals and manufacturers alike, this session will present the facts, epidemiological statistics, and potential lifesaving benefits of CRITICAL color quality LEDs.
• Discover the potential for curated LED sources to provide the missing piece in the worldwide SEPSIS epidemic puzzle.
• Uncover the shocking statistics of medical errors and realize how ambient light is critical for accurate skin assessment especially for newborns and aging populations
• Evaluate potential new revenue streams and determine how specifiers can make a difference in reducing medical errors and increasing diagnostic accuracy
• Acquire a new understating of how early infection detection, ambient light, and circadian rhythms are intertwined when it comes to saving lives, avoiding amputation, and reducing mortality odds for over 1 million US patients each year
