Mark Schulkamp, Owner, Schulkamp Electric Company
Nancy McCoy, Owner, McCoy Lighting Design

When we share stories about lighting designs and projects, we typically focus on beautiful photos of beautiful spaces. But as we all know, it takes a lot of behind-the-scenes work (much of it less than glamorous) to create beauty - careful planning, testing, mockups, models, problem solving, and most importantly, listening to and learning from clients.

Nancy and Mark explore a range of projects, products, and processes over the range of their decades of work in lighting and what they learned from them. They'll share their unique perspectives on many of the issues that are part of the landscape of professional practice in residential design and lighting today - controls, installation and maintenance issues, product reliability and availability, regulatory constraints, and design communication.

The talk will end with a brief panel discussion that will include questions from the audience.
