The Innovators Evening Lecture Series is intended to provide networking opportunities and create a forum where interested members of the energy efficiency community can have access to innovators in the industry who are transforming the marketplace. These monthly, conversational presentations are intended to discuss "big picture" opportunities for change from the speakers own viewpoint and encourage an exchange of new ideas.

For the 4th lecture in the 2016 series, Peter Rumsey will talk about the trajectory past and future that leads to a 100% renewable energy system.  He will reflect on his more than three decades as a determined innovator in the building energy field.  He will discuss his work on some of the countrys most efficient buildings and the first net zero energy building.  He will also cover some of his recent work at Stanford University where he teaches, where he works with some of the countrys leading thinkers on our energy future.  He has be instrumental in demonstrating how buildings can use significantly less energy and cost effectively achieve net zero energy.  He will highlight his recent work with developers in making solar systems on buildings simple and profitable.
