LEED and Title 24 require creation of two documents: the Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR) and the Basis of Design (BOD). On most projects, the HVAC system is well documented in the OPR and BOD, but the lighting and lighting controls – which are responsible for 30% of a building’s total energy usage – are incomplete or ignored. In this class participants will learn how to document the requirements for the lighting/lighting controls in the OPR and BOD to make sure your design vision is realized while providing an efficient and maintainable system.
