This full day class is intended to help participants create a Sequence of Operations for advanced lighting control systems (ALCS) from a Control Intent Narrative in the Basis of Design (BOD). The importance of a Sequence of Operations will be emphasized as a contributor to a successful lighting control installation. Establishing operating parameters and setpoints for the control system allows it to be programmed properly, and tested thoroughly. The Sequence of Operations contributes to the performance of ALCS and improves end user acceptance. This course addresses energy codes and reviews control strategies used in creating lighting control narratives, and it will cover creating sequences for occupancy, scheduling, daylight harvesting, demand response and more. Lighting control hardware from several manufacturers and their control parameters are explored in detail.
