If you were fortunate enough to have deciphered the 2013 Title 24 changes, then congratulations - you were one of the few! It’s now time to start all over again, as new Title 24 code changes are going into effect on January 1, 2017.
Here are some of the changes you need to know about the commercial code changes:
- Clarifications and adjustments made in the new code
- Changes to Occupancy Sensor requirements
- An entirely re-written section concerning Alterations and Modifications
- Demand Shed's small change that significantly reduces networked systems
To aid you in interpreting new Title 24 requirements; we are delighted to have Charles Knuffke (Wattstopper) give a presentation on the upcoming changes. Charles has been assisting IES members with understanding lighting control and code requirements for decades, and his presentations are both understandable and entertaining. In addition to Mr. Knuffke, we are inviting local inspectors and code experts to add their commentary during the following question and answer session.
Before the talk we will have tabletops to demonstrate manufacturers’ latest solutions to help you more easily comply with these updated requirements.
In addition to the important updates, we will also be presenting the IES SF Sol Cohn Awards, so come to celebrate and to congratulate the awardees!
