Any civic event in San Francisco is proudly displayed and shared with the world through the celebration-oriented façade lighting of San Francisco’s City Hall. Please join us for a tour of San Francisco City Hall’s recently upgraded LED façade lighting system.
Learn about the project from the collaborative team encompassing the manufacturer, lighting designer and electrical contractor tasked with retrofitting the historic building façade to LED sources. The retrofit was completed in time for the 100th year anniversary of the City Hall building and for the conference of the mayor’s celebration that took place on June 19th of this year.
Toby Lewis, lead lighting designer with Arup, Jennifer Iverson from Color Kinetics and Ron Baxter with Paganini Electric will discuss the project painting a holistic picture of the design, teamwork, and the challenges overcome. Rob Reiter with The City, the project owner, will share the project from concept to conclusion. A demonstration of the system’s capabilities will top off our evening.
