In celebration of the International Year of Light 2015 and in support of the Bay Area artists, IES San Francisco is proudly sponsoring the 4th annual Autumn Lights Festival at the Gardens at Lake Merritt. The festival on October 16-17 is a collaboration of the magnificent Oakland and Bay Area art community and the public garden.
Come out and join us in the early-fall Friday evening as a group to tour the Lakeside Park filled with spectacular illuminated artworks, lighting installations, fire performs and music. There will be opportunities to talk to creators of the arts, who are also part of our own local community.
The Autumn Lights Festival is a fundraiser for the Gardens at Lake Merritt, a free public garden that truly is the “Green Heart of Oakland”. Proceeds from the Autumn Lights Festival will fund garden improvements, including the construction of a new Garden entrance being designed by local artist Shawn Colvin. The gate will be set into a stunning setting, making the gardens the Oakland landmark it deserves to be.
